  • General Manager
  • Job description : As a restaurant’s general manager, you'll have the responsibility for the restaurant's business performance while maintaining the highest quality standards, health and safety as well as staff and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the owner, you will be the SPoC (Single Point of Contact) for all staff, guests and senior stakeholders. Combining strategic planning and day-to-day management activities, your role is both business-like and creative, particularly in terms of marketing and business development. A hands-on leader with a previous experience in a similar role would be preferred.

  • Main Responsibilities

    • Analyse/plan restaurant sales levels and present the sales projections to the management.
    • Organise/plan/execute regular marketing activities such as promotional events and discount schemes to boost sales revenue.
    • Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
    • Prepare closing statement by reconciling cash/cheque payments at the end of the shift.
    • Set operational budgets and agree them with senior management to ensure cost controls are in place for the best profitability.
    • To review the P&L with the management to drive profit and support the success of the business.
    • To ensure daily/weekly rota sign offs are completed in a timely manner as per business strata.
    • Work closely with the head chef to plan, create and coordinate menus.
    • Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff.
    • Ensure the initial on-boarding and ongoing training of all employees are met & completed.
    • To ensure adequate performance management of all employees are well established & conducted in time.
    • To ensure the timely completion of annual appraisals.
    • You will have overall responsibility to respond to all guest feedback, queries and complaints on relevant platforms. Any issues should be communicated to the senior leadership team using the correct escalation process.
    • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
    • Check stock levels (Dry and Wet), order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash.
    • comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements.
    • Achieve Finance KPI’s including but not limited to payroll budgets and food and beverage budgets.
    • Communicate the information coming into the business and monitoring activities in each department to ensure that tasks are completed to meet guest demands in a timely manner and to a high standard according to company policy.
    • To ensure that Legal and Statutory Requirements across all departments are maintained at all times.
    • To ensure all regulatory paperwork is completed within the relevant time frames.
    • Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures amongst staff members.
    • Promote good working practices across the sphere with particular emphasis on exceptional standards of safety and hygiene and guest service.
    • Ensure all company property / premises are kept within good working order, and any concerns highlighted to the senior management and actioned promptly.

  • Job description : As a restaurant/floor manager, you'll be working closely with the General Manager and will be responsible for supporting the team to ensure we deliver exceptional service to all our esteemed guests and have well-presented facilities at all times.

    Experience

    • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Knowledge of health and food safety regulations and procedures.
    • Bartending experience is a plus.

    • Ability to multitask and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
    • Capability of working under pressure situations
    • Culinary background or cooking skills are beneficial.
